Hope and Grieving

Grieve until it doesn't hurt any more

Cry until the tears have dried

For how long

Have I been numbed

By the piercing pain

That only I

can understand

No one can tell

How much I can bear

The sorrows

Of many more tomorrows

pink2_butter.gif (4967 bytes)

My pain is so unique

No two clouds can form

Exactly alike

My friend

It's so easy to say

I know exactly

What you're going through

(I'm afraid not)

Be strong

(but I'm weak)

Life must go on

(Part of me died--

I'm starting a new life)

Just please hold my hand

Or give me a hug

(at least I need three hugs a day)

Be silent and just be there for me

Your friendship and encouragement

Are all I need

pink2_butter.gif (4967 bytes)

Just let me endure

As long as I can

for time will somehow

soften the pain

and soon become your friend

Remember that life

Will never be the same again

For tomorrow is another day

The sun will rise

The sun will set

I'll keep my hope and set my goals

I'll take time to smell the flowers

And cherish my kids

(Children and flowers remind you

             that life is still beautiful)

Look straight

For better days

Are surely just ahead

I've learned

That life should never, never

Be taken for granted
